Harmony Academy hosted its first prom on Saturday, June 9th. This was made possible by the Harmony student body letting the Alternative Peer Group Coordinator, Kier Gunnells, know that this is a high school experience they didn’t want to miss out on.
The student body selected the theme, Midnight in Paris. They were able to vote on Prom Royalty and even got input on the food provided. Our Recovery Services Coordinator was able to secure a DJ and Harmony students enjoyed hits from Bad Habit by Steve Lacy to Heaven Is a Place on Earth by Belinda Carlisle.
This year, Prom was hosted in the Harmony Academy Community Room. Look forward to Spring 2024, we are hopeful that Prom could be located at an off-campus location with enough help from our staff and parents to find a space.
