John is the Managing Director of Wealth Management at The Partners Group, a leading privately-held financial services and consulting firm. 

John has a broad range of financial experience spanning over 30 years in areas such as lending, private debt and equity investing, as well as in publicly traded investments and portfolio management. John started his finance career on Wall Street with The Bank of New York and has included roles on bond trading, mezzanine debt fund management, and as a Senior Portfolio Manager and member of the national investment policy committee for Key Private Bank. 

As Managing Director of Wealth Management for The Partners Group, John enjoys leading the Wealth Management team, assembled to address the unique challenges and opportunities of successful individuals, non-profits, and foundations. 

Active in his community, John has served as elder, secretary and treasurer for his church, and is a past board chair for the Oregon Children’s Theater and Three Rivers Charter School. When not advising clients, John spends his time barbecuing, golfing, and fly-fishing Oregon’s rivers for steelhead.

Tony Vezina is a person in long-term recovery with an extensive background in nonprofit management, community and political organizing, business development, public speaking, and professional training. 

Tony is the co-founder and current Executive Director of 4D Recovery, a peer-based recovery organization providing a variety of recovery services to youth and young adults in Oregon and Washington. He enjoys watching 4D clients find freedom from drug and alcohol addiction while transforming their lives into something meaningful. 

He is a co-founder of Harmony Academy and uses his skills to advance our mission. He has also co-founded several other nonprofits and advocacy organizations and currently serves as the Chair to Oregon’s Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission. 

In his personal life, he is the father of 3 wonderful children and happily married to Rachel, a woman in long-term recovery. Together they manage a real estate company and a portfolio of investment properties. In their free time, they love fishing, camping, fitness and loving their children. 

Being born into poverty, trauma, and drug addiction, Tony aspires to show other that no matter their circumstances, they can change their life for the better while making an impact on their community. 

Heidi has worked in the substance use disorder field for over 26 years. She graduated from the University of Montana with her degree in psychology with a minor in family development. She went on to get her master’s degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis in Addiction studies at Lewis and Clark College. She has worked for several local treatment centers throughout her career and currently works for the Vice President of the Northwest for Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. She had dedicated her career to serving those who still struggle with addiction and those who have found recovery.

Heidi is also a mom to two children who are all grown up now. One is finishing high school and another is in their second year of college. In her free time, she loves camping, skiing, and listening to live music with her husband. She is most proud of her time volunteering as a Harmony Academy board member. She knows that being young and starting life young in recovery has many challenges and most of them are in the school setting. Being in an environment that understands this while also helping them thrive before entering adulthood is something she is passionate about serving. 

For nearly two decades, Tony has worked as an educational leader, serving schools and communities ranging from rural America to the suburbs, from Oregon’s Wine Country to the diverse communities of East Multnomah County. 

Early in his school leadership career, while serving as principal, Tony led a diverse middle school community to receive the rating of “Outstanding” on the Oregon School Report Card. For the last twelve years he has worked as the Superintendent of Schools for the Molalla River School District, a K-12 district located in Clackamas County. Across his career, Tony has led schools and school systems to excellence. Tony believes one of the key attributes of successful schools is the recognition that students are individuals, each one of them with specific strengths and individual needs. 

As co-founder of the Oregon Recovery High School Initiative and Harmony Academy, Tony believes there are educational solutions specific to the needs of young people experiencing addiction. Research-supported, evidence-based school design focused on recovery from substance use disorders is the keystone. Such a school can provide adolescents in recovery with a robust framework of support, energizing long-term recovery and delivering on the promises all young people deserve. It is in this kind of school that students can build a vision of hope for themselves and develop the aspiration, mindset and skills that allows them to achieve exceptional things for themselves and their communities.  

Tony holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Oregon State University and a Master’s Degree from Lewis and Clark College. Tony has experienced the promises of recovery and witnessed both the successes and tragedies taking place every day in our society for young people suffering from addiction. His hope for the future is rooted in the successful expansion of access to recovery high schools like Oregon’s first: Harmony.

Ann Highet is an attorney and serves on the board of trustees of Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. She has enthusiasm for her own personal recovery and brings that enthusiasm to her position on the Harmony Academy Board of Directors. Ann has a prowess for leveraging major corporate relationships into robust partnerships in service of addiction recovery.
