On Friday, May 5, our Sources of Strength Student Leaders put on a student led clothing exchange. Harmony students were encouraged to bring clothes, shoes, and any accessories they did not want anymore. Students created a system to go around and find new clothes while also recycling items they didn’t wish to keep any longer. All clothes that weren’t snatched up by a fellow classmate were donated to a local thrift shop.
Sources of Strength is a youth mental health promotion and suicide prevention program. It is all about finding the power within our student leaders to create a healthy place where they can find support within their peer group and develop positive habits to cope with difficult emotions. Harmony is happy to partner with Sources of Strength to get our student leaders trained and passionate about making a difference in our community.
